Privacy policy
In short
Fractarium does not collect any personal data. The app has no accounts, shows no ads, uses no tracking or analytics tools and never connects to a server.
Who is responsible
Marcus Adler, fractarium@ma-adler.de. Fractarium is a private, non-commercial project.
What stays on your iPhone
Your settings – such as appearance, stage and the parameters you last used for each fractal – are stored only locally on your device. They never leave it and are deleted when you delete the app.
Photos and files
Only when you save an image or a video does the app ask for permission to add it to your photo library. It cannot read your photos. Vector graphics are saved through the system’s file dialog to a place of your choice.
App Store
Downloads and updates go through Apple’s App Store, which is covered by Apple’s privacy policy. If you allowed your iPhone to share analytics with app developers, Apple provides me with aggregated usage and crash statistics. They do not tell me who you are.
This website
This site is hosted on GitHub Pages (GitHub, Inc.). When you visit it, GitHub processes technically necessary data such as your IP address to deliver and protect the site – see GitHub’s privacy statement. The site itself sets no cookies, loads no third-party fonts or scripts and measures nothing.
If you write to me
If you send me an email, I use your address and message only to reply and delete them once they are no longer needed for that.
Your rights
You can ask at any time what data I hold about you and have it corrected or deleted – an email is enough. You can also lodge a complaint with a data protection authority.
Changes
If anything about the app changes that affects your privacy, I will update this policy; the version published here applies.
